Riding high with Costa Teguise Carnaval

Carnaval is a big part of any Canarian community, and as Sands Beach Resort Hotel is at the heart of the Costa Teguise community, they will naturally be throwing themselves into the fun and games of the local 2010 Carnaval.
It’s very much a family event and this year on 27 and 28 February there will be more colour and music than ever as they celebrate the Viking theme. Just to make things extra special, Sands Beach Resort Hotel is inviting guests to come onboard their float for the big Coso parade on the Saturday afternoon, along the Paseo Maritimo. That’s the main beach road that starts down by Sands Beach Hotel Resort and traces its way along the front through this friendly and charming Lanzarote village.
After the parade , the fun really gets going with live music on a series of stages, and dancing down at the beach into the small hours. You will find it difficult to resist the rhythms of the music and dance, everyone is invited to join in and to have a great time. The next day, the children get their chance to shine in their own parade in the morning, along the same route. Being in Costa Teguise is an experience that will stay with you for many years.
